EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organisation) has recently launched new EPF Composite Declaration Form-11. This new EPF Composite Form will replace existing Form-11 and Form-13 in all cases of EPF auto transfer. EPF Form-11 is a declaration form currently submitted by a person taking up a new employment in an organization which is covered under EPF scheme. Form-13 is used to transfer the EPF and Pension from old EPF account to the new EPF account. The new EPF Composite Declaration Form-11 will allow employees to transfer EPF automatically while changing job. This automatic transfer of EPF will only be possible if the UAN is Aadhaar seeded and verified. If the UAN is not Aadhaar seeded and verified then Form-13 will be used for transfer of EPF account from the previous organisation.



EPF Composite Declaration From-11

The EPF Composite Declaration Form-11 contains basic information such as name, date of birth, gender, contact details (email Id & Mobile Number), present employment details, KYC details and previous employment details. KYC details contain information about bank account number with IFS code of the branch, Aadhaar number, and PAN number. A screenshot of the EPF Composite Declaration Form-11 is given below.

This is the form which employee has to submit to the employer at the time of joining a new job. Normally, the HR department asks the new employee to fill this form if the establishment is covered under EPF scheme.

Earlier on the job change, you have to submit Form-11 (Declaration form) and Form-13 (for PF transfer from old EPF account to the new EPF account) for offline EPF transfer. But now EPFO made it online and easy for you and your employer also. Using this facility, you can transfer your EPF automatically online on change of job.


Procedure to transfer EPF automatically online

The automatic online transfer of EPF will only be possible for those employees whose UAN is Aadhaar seeded and verified. If the UAN is not Aadhaar seeded and verified or EPF transfer from or to an exempted establishments then Form-13 will be used for transfer of EPF account from the previous organization. The procedure to transfer EPF automatically online is as below.
1. Fill all the required details in the EPF Composite Declaration Form-11 such as your name, father’s/spouse’s name, date of birth, gender, marital status, email Id & Mobile number, date of joining in the current establishment, KYC details (bank account number, bank IFS code of the branch, Aadhaar number, PAN number) and previous employment details such as establishment named & address, UAN, PF account number, date of Joining, date of exit etc.
2. You need to sign and submit the filled form to your new employer.
3. Now your new employer will enter all the required details in employer’s portal of EPFO and upload the filled EPF Composite Declaration Form-11.
4. The employee will receive an SMS for information about the proposed auto-transfer on his/her registered mobile number.
5. The transfer of EPF will be completed only if
i) Employee does not request to stop the said transfer within 10 days.
ii) The first contribution of EPF by the new employer is deposited in the EPF account.
6. The employee will receive an SMS on his/her mobile and a communication by an email when the actual transfer of the EPF account completed.



Note: This automatic online transfer of EPF will only be possible if your UAN is Aadhaar seeded and verified. If your UAN is not Aadhaar seeded and verified or EPF transfer from or to an exempted establishments then Form-13 will be used for transfer of EPF account from the previous organization.
